LAUNCHXL-F28379D: Input Under shoot and Over shoot capability

Hello Every One,

I'm Using LAUNCHXL-F28379D for my application. I have a digital Input to the Launchxl which is indicated in yellow color in the attached two images (Oscilloscope images). Please tell me if this much of an Under shoot is a problem or not. ?
peak under shoot is about 620mV and time taken to come back to zero is 10nS as in image 2.

What kind of digital input you are referring to here, is it a GPIO?

Hi Nirav,

Actually i have 8 signals. All of them are fed to GPIO pins. (GPIO 08,09,14,15,95,139,56 and 97).

Hi Thilesh,

Minimum VIL spec on the GPIOs is VSS-0.3V, so roughly about ~300mV is what is recommended by TI, anything below that is not guaranteed.

Hi Nirav,

Thank you for replying me. I saw the absolute maximum ratings and thought -0.3V is defined for continuous operations and for this kind of transients there could be more room.

Hi Thilesh,

Yes, you may be ok with this behavior, but we have not validated such transients on Si so we cannot guarantee.
