LAUNCHXL-F28379D: Battery powering

Part Number: LAUNCHXL-F28379D

Hello TI officer
I am working on a project with LAUNCHXL-F28379D, I know that my application only draws less than 0.5A, and I want to power it by a 3.2V rechargeable battery, probably the 18650 cell 3.2V /2600 mA LiFePO4 rechargeable battery. I would like to ask you if that is possible to use that kind of battery, or do I need to use the 3.7V rechargeable battery ? Do I need any voltage regulator to stabilize the voltage to 3.3V ?

Regards,
An.

  • Hi,

I would recommend you to use a 3.7V as LDO would require more than 3.3V. You can check whether there are any boost converters for step up 2.7V-3.2V to 3.3V, something like this:
