TMS320F28335: eZdsp board compatible with GUI Composer v2?

Hi,

I am developing a project to perform some experiments of an algorithm implemented in a eZdsp TMS320F28335 board.
Because it is an experiment, I need to retrieve data from the DSP (values of expressions, generally) so I was thinkg of using the GUI Composer v2 to desing a proper environment to do so.

However, the on-board emulator of the Spectre eZdsp does not seem compatible with the XDS target configuration of the GUI Composer. Therefore, I have thought using the USB UART connection to do so, although the PC does not recognize the COM port when I plug in the eZdsp.

How should I proceed?

Is it for sure that I can do what I am intended with GUI Composer?

I am using Code Composer 8.2.0.

Hi Pablo,

I don't think the USB port on the eZdsp board has UART. It looks like UART is brought out on the RS-232 connector. See the below from the eZdsp board manual, http://c2000.spectrumdigital.com/ezf28335/docs/ezdspf28335c_techref.pdf

You are completely right.
I will try to get the data from the RS232 port using an USB adapter.
