Dear Sirs,
I am part of a team embarking on a new product utilizing a DSP. This design is slated to have a 5+ year lifetime, so we need to avoid DSP choices that will go obsolete within this timeframe.
The two lines we are considering are the C2xxx and C6xxx (specifically, the C6713B, and the C28346)
Our software development organization is more comfortable with the C2xxx series, but the C6xxx family also provides parts that will perform adequately for our application. We need to choose between the two and there are more concerns with obsolescence with the C2xxx family.
What is the EOL estimation for these parts?
