CCS/TMS320F28377D: CCS debug window: GPIO SET/CLR via CLA

Part Number: TMS320F28377D

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi,

I am using CLA to control GPIO22/GPIO23. The code works OK. CLA code can take control of them in free run mode.

But I cannot change the GPIO22/23 directly in CCS debug with XDS100V3 even if I select CLA core first.

If I change back the owner to CPU(via GPACSEL3 config.), I can do such action easily.

What is wrong with this?  Is it due to dubugger itself or something else?

Waiting for your help and thanks in advance.

  • When you use the emulator, the emuulator writes occur via the C28x. So if you assign the master to the CLA, I do no think the debugger will be able to write to those registers. Only the CLA will be able too.
