CCS/TMS320F280049C: Device held in Reset (Error -1137 @ 0x6)

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

I am using LaunchXL F280049C development kit. The target configuration test connection passes and I get no error.

I have tried different boot modes, SCI/wait boot and Parellel from gpio but still the device is held in reset. Is there any way I can take the device out of reset?

can you share the path where you are picking the ccxml and gel file. I doubt if the right files are used.

The ccxml is in project directory under taget configurations while the GEL is root\ti\ccsv8\ccs_base\emulation\gel\2808.gel whose status shows success.

Please use f280049c.gel, this corresponds the device you are using.

My Bad, I am using f280049c.gel (it was a different project i was compiling just now and accidentally wrote 2808.gel)

did you create your own ccxml or use one from package ? if from package, give the path.
I see the xds110 emulator is configured in ccxml. Can you check with XDS100 ?

I suppose you are using the on-board emulator ?

I am using onboard XDS110 emulator. XDS100 does not even connect (and I dont think it should if the onboard emulator is XDS110). The path of ccxml is in project\targetConfigs\TMS320F280049M.ccxml (I dont see why the path would be a problem)

There is something else going on with the device as I have ordered another kit and it works fine with the same configurations
