TMS320F28069: sci flash kernel

Hi,

I have a question about example "f28069_sci_flash_kernel".

When I flash DSP using serial flash programmer (flash kernel A), the all sectors of the flash are erased before the new application will be programmed. Is it right?

I see that only the sectors A,B,C and D are erased. Is it right? Why doesn't the flash kernel erase the sectors E,F,G and H?

Can I used serial flash programmer (flash kernel B) for F28069? If it's possible, what should I do?

Hi,

You can modify this in the kernel source code to only erase the sectors you desire. Only ABCD are erased in the example because not all f2806x device variants have all secotrs available. If all of your sectors are on your device (f28069) then you can erase them all if you desire.

No. Use f2806x flash kernel which is flash kernel A according to the serial flash programmer documentation. www.ti.com/.../sprabv4b.pdf
