TMS320F28377D: unable to flash using XDS560

Part Number: TMS320F28377D

Hello ,

I have an issue connecting the cores with the debugger.

I get below error when I connect the debugger for flashing,

[14:06:22] FATAL >> IcePick_C_0: Error connecting to the target: (Error -233 @ 0x0) The JTAG IR and DR scan-paths cannot circulate bits, they may be broken. An attempt to scan the JTAG scan-path has failed. The target's JTAG scan-path appears to be broken with a stuck-at-ones or stuck-at-zero fault. (Emulation package 6.0.83.1)

  • Deepti,

Look like there is issue with connector or HW. Are you using your custom board or board provided by TI ? If customer board then look at the connection of JTAG pins and review the schematic.

  • I am using the XDS560v2 STM jtag with an F28379D explorer board. One thing I needed to do to get the connection going was A:SW1 switch - making sure that JTAG was in the off position, and I also took the UART switch to off (not sure if that is necessary). Then made sure that I set up my configuration file to point at the XDS560v2 STM - I have had no problems connecting, downloading and debugging.
