Part Number: TMS320F280048C
I am currently working on a design using the TMS320F28. I need 3 SDFM-channels for connecting AMC1304 ADCs, which do not support manchester encoding. The MCU's datasheet clearly states 3 available SDFM channels (Table 3-1). However, only the clock pins for channels 1 & 3 seem to be available on 64-pin devices. All four data-pins are available, though.
Ideally, as all 3 ADCs use the same (PWM generated) clock, a single clock input into the MCU would be sufficient. Reading the documentation, it seems impossible to run multiple SDFM channels off the same clock input. Am I correct there?
Can you clarify on how I can make use of all three channels on the 64-pin devices? Or is it really only possible to use all three in conjunction with manchester-encoding, forcing me to use bigger 100-pin part?
Thanks in advance,
Johannes
