TMS320F28377S: XDS200 vs XDS100V2

Genius 5910 points
Part Number: TMS320F28377S

I'm trying to find what the benefits are for using the XDS200 over the XDS100V2?

I can only find that it is faster.  But is it also possible to use more breakpoints?  Because breakpoint use is very limited with the XDS100.

Thanks.

  • EVS,

The number of hardware breakpoints available is hardware based in the chip design.  All emulators will have the same number.

Yes, XDS200 is faster than XDS100v2.  You're only going to see any difference during flashing, downloading data to RAM, or uploading to the PC from device memory.  In terms of running code, you won't see a difference.  XDS200 is also a bit more rugged, in that at least it has a case whereas XDS100 is just an exposed circuit board.

    Regards,
