TMS320F280049: Code Security Module - Zero Pin Boot Mode

Part Number: TMS320F280049

All:

Does "zero pin boot mode" need to be set up at the same time as Code Security Module,or are these independent of each other?

If we set up Zero Pin Boot Mode in OTP, does it mean that we cannot go back to the same device and later set up the Code Security Module?

  • Todd,

You should be able to program other security setting later as long as you have not programed them at all (use DSECT for other section). This restriction if because of ECC programming and the fact that OTP can be programmed but not erased. ECC is for 64bit word so you have to program 64bit word which means GPREG1 and GPREG2 together and GPREG3 and BOOTCTRL together.

I would recommend to emulate this via emulation boot first and then only try to program it in OTP.
