TMDSDOCK28335: COM port is not detected in Device Manager

Hi,

when I plug in USB cable for TMS320F28335 Experimenter Kit, COM port is not detected in Device Manager.

I was trying to enable CAN communication and was doing some connections on the board so probably did something wrong as now I don't even have serial communication working. Even if I use another controlCARD, it does not work.. so it think it must be an issue with this particular Docking Station. Because another pair of controlCARD and Docking Station is working fine.

Is there some test points to check if serial communication is still okay. I get all three diodes LD1, LD2 and LD3 on controlCARD working, SW1 is in OFF position and on Docking Station jumper is on J9 adn LD1 is ON, SW1 is in USB position. UBS port works also fine.

Mike,

Take a look at this post https://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/c2000/f/171/t/21086, I think you are at the point it makes sense to try and re-program the FTDI/emualtion chip, esp if it is not showing up in Device Manager.

The above link is refereced in an app note http://www.ti.com/lit/spracf0 that addresses common JTAG connectivity issues just for future reference.

Wanted to check back in to see if you were able to resolve your issue or there was still some assistance needed from my end. I'm going to mark TI thinks resolved, but any reply will clear that flag and alert me.
