CCS/BOOSTXL-DRV8323RS: Setting PWM control mode

Part Number: BOOSTXL-DRV8323RS

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi,

I would like to ask some questions regarding the DRV8323RS EVM.

Can I know how do I set the control modes to enable it to work for 6xPWM mode/3xPWM mode/1x PWM mode?

Example In the datasheet, for 3x PWM Mode, it says PWM_Mode =01b or MODE Pin = 47kohm to AGND

a) do I just initialize the PWM_MODE =01b in the CCS? is this a defined variable?

b) another way is to put a 47kohm resistor to the ground?

c) the default for this board is 6xPWM mode?

In the schematic, there are also cross marks --> is that indicate this board doesn't have these connections and we need to connect them to the resistors to enable  the function such as 1xPWM Mode?

My BLDC motor needs 5 V for the hall sensor, hence I supplied 5V to the hall sensor instead of using the 3.3V.

However, when i measure the voltage across HallA when is it high (1), the voltage measured is 5V

But, when it is set to Low (0), the voltage measured is ~1.6V. Is there a way to make it to 0 so that it can detect the hall sensor to be 0?

Apologies, I am quite new to this. Hope to get some clarity in understanding as I am trying to build a stand-alone motor sensored BLDC motor controller. Appreciate some feedback. :)

Thanks,

Thena
