CCS/TMS320F28335: CCS/TMS320F28335

Part Number: TMS320F28335

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

I have a Spectrum Digital USB-eZdsp with socketed F28335 installed.  I have used this resource in the past with CCS3.3 successfully.  We are starting a new project with an F28335 and I have installed the latest version of CCS (8.3) and I have configured the eZdsp in a file I named eZdsp_F28335.ccmxl.  In the configuration dialog I select EZDSPF28335 and Save the configuration but the "Tool Connection" button does not become active  grayed out) and I cannot connect with the device.  The Device Manger recognizes the eZdsp and lists it under the USB category.  I don't know why I can't connect to the USB-eZdsp device.

What is the latest version of CCS I can use with this device and what emulator would you recommend to support software development and debug.

Thanks

  • Steve,

The F2833x device is supported on the latest version of Code Composer Studio (8.3). I need to contact a colleague to confirm whether the on-board eZdsp emulation is also still supported or if there are known issues. I will to get back to you within 24 hours.

    Regards,
    Lori
  • Hello,

It should still be supported (though note that support for it will be dropped starting with CCSv9)

What does your ccxml file look like? It should look like the below:
