CCS/TMS320F28035: Q values to real values

Part Number: TMS320F28035

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

How are the q values of Vpv and Ipv decided and calculated. Also its relation to the value

  • All PU values are IQ24.

    But for GUI values it is mainly by seeing if it will fit in the Qformat.

    Unfortunately I do not have a scientific way we chose this on this design.

    As you cna look at the code the reason for Gui_Vpv to be IQ20 is because we chose to do it in IQ20 , none other. Which will accomodate a value of upto 2^11 or 2048 in integer place.

    Gui_Vpv = _IQ20mpy(pv_meas_vol_avg>>4,_IQ20(PV_VOL_SENSE_MAX));
    Gui_Ipv = _IQ20mpy(pv_meas_cur_avg>>4,_IQ20(PV_CURR_SENSE_MAX));
    Gui_Vbus = _IQ20mpy(vbus_meas_avg>>4,_IQ20(VBUS_VOL_SENSE_MAX));
