TMS320F28069: Programming and real time debugging C2000 series controllers

Part Number: TMS320F28069
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CCSTUDIO

Hello,

I will be using TMS320F28069 controller IC on the power board (Only control IC). I need a suggestion related to its programming and real-time debugging

1. Can I use XDS100V2/3 JTAG emulator for programming as well as for real-time debugging using CCStudio? Is there any extra isolation required while connecting to the host PC, since my application is a power board.

2. Are there any other options instead of XDS 100 emulator for real-time debug and programming C2000 series controllers.

Thanks in advance !!

  • Nimish,

Please see the C2000 Tools & Software page: www.ti.com/.../tools-software.html
It lists the options for programming, real-time debugging, and debug probes available that are compatible with C2000 MCUs.

For JTAG isolation, you can refer to any C2000 LaunchPad or Isolated ControlCard. These have an on-board XDS100 v2 that can be isolated from the MCU. We have designed these boards in this way specifically for the purpose of real-time debugging while in a noisy, or high-voltage scenario.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.
