CCS/TMS320F28374S: EALLOW is not following in the ECAP in example files provided by TI

Hi,

As per ECAP user guide the registers ECCTL1, ECCTL2, ECEINT are EALLOW protected but in the ECAP in example files (ECap_Capture_Pwm_cpu01.c) provided by TI, this is not following, may i know the reason?

Even without EALLOW will it work?

Hi Harish,

Can you refer to the section where it is mentioned that these registers are EALLOW Protected?

In section 15.8.2 ECAP_REGS Registers, you can find in the below image also. I am just confusing as TI examples are not using these, can you please explain?

It is so strange that in the latest version( SPRUHX5F) no EALLOW protected but in an older version( SPRUHX5E) I have that registers showing EALLOW protected. Might be wrong in the older version.
