The TMS320F2808 SPI,how to deal with SPISTE(SPI-A slave transmit enable input/output (I/O))? If there is other CS for the slave,and the CS is synchronization in the SPISTE, is the pin of SPISTE hanging or grounding ??

Hi,

SPISTE is active low. The master device will drive it low before/during transmitting data and is taken high after the transmission completes. Is that what you're asking?

Please look at the SPI reference guide. Specifically the last sentences of section 1.3.2.1 (Master Mode) and 1.3.2.2 (Slave Mode). Also figures 2-17 and 2-18.

Yes,so that if there is the other define of CS which is synchronization in the SPISTE,and the CS link to the slave. Do the pin SPISTE hang ? Just as the pin SPISTE empty without link to the slave's CS?

Hi,

If the F2808 device is the master the internal pull-up can be used (configuration shown below) or some other form of weak pull-up. Then the signal will be high unless the F2808 drives it low.

GpioCtrlRegs.GPAPUD.bit.GPIO19 = 0;   // Enable pull-up on GPIO19 (SPISTEA)
