CCS/F28M36P63C2: Help needed to unlock the device

Hi, sir from the picture below, the memory of the locations 0x13fff0~0x13fffb are all zero? Is there any method to resolve the problem?Thank you very much!

  • Hi, sir, there is another device that the data in the locations of 0x13fff0~0x13ffff are all zero? Is there any method to resolve the problem?Thank you very much!

  • Hi,

Do you know what caused password value to be zeros? If it happened due to interruption during flash operation then you can not do much with these devices. If you programmed some values due to incorrect address mapping in linker cmd file then see what section is mapped into that address location and see if you could find the value which is programmed as password and use that to unlock the device. If you can not find the password value then again nothing can be done on these device.

  • Hi!

Indeed, the problem was happened during flash operation. However, I still have no opinion why the phenomena happened. Can you provide any method to resolve the problem, as the device is important to us? Thank you very much!
  • As I mentioned in my last post, either password have been programmed or flash operation got interrupted. You need to check if you have stable power supply during flash operation.

I'll also have our Flash expert to look into this.

  • Hi,

Here is a note from datasheet: It is important to maintain a stable power supply during the entire flash programming process. The power supply used should ensure VMIN on the supply rails at all times, as specified in the Recommended Operating Conditions of the data sheet. Any brown-out or interruption to power during erasing/programming could potentially corrupt the password locations and lock the device permanently. Powering a target board (during flash programming) through the USB port is not recommended, as the port may be unable to respond to the power demands placed during the programming process.

Please check whether the supply rails are in valid operating voltage range or not during the Flash operations.

    Thanks and regards,

    Vamsi

  • Hi,

I am closing this post assuming that you understood the reason behind Flash corruption.
