TMS320F28075: Unexpected behavior of Z1_BOOTCTRL

Hello,

On our custom TMS320F28075 we need to move BOOTPIN1 to GPIO87.

First we checked board with default configuration, it starts normally from flash and then boots from SCI-A when the GPIO72 held low at power on.

We have programmed Z1OTP_BOOTCTRL, and verified Z1_BOOTCTRL register.

Now regardless of the GPIO87 status at power on, board always waits for SCI-A boot and never starts from flash.

We connected to board using JTAG and reprogrammed flash and it works by JTAG, after disconnecting JTAG we verified that nTRST is low from power on. But although GPIO87 is still boots only from SCI-A

What could be the reason for this?

As per the TRM ,

If the BOOTPIN1 needs to be altered to GPIO87 then the value to be read / configured is 88 -> for GPIO 88-1 -> GPIO87.

From the OTP snippet it seems that the value loaded is 87 and not 88.

Please check if this helps.

Thank you, my mistake obviously.

BTW, the next field (BOOTPIN1) in the table you referred has typo in Description section, all BOOTPIN1 should be replaced with BOOTPIN0.
