CCS/TMDSHVMTRPFCKIT: TMDSHVMTRPFCKIT

Part Number: TMDSHVMTRPFCKIT
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320F28035, TMDSCNCD28035, TMDSCNCD28035ISO

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

hello ti team,

i developed my own induction motor speed control code and the implementation is on TMDSHVMTRPFCKIT, for sure before induction motor connected i need to see some important sensed variables in expression window code  composer studio. after debug i have seen the following error.

  • 1. Which controlCARD are you using? Are you using the emulation on TMDSHVMTRPFCKIT? Or on controlCARD?
    2. Make sure the 5/3.3V power supply is ok for controlCARD.
    3. Please disable the realtime-mode, and stop the running mode also before you reload/reprogram the code to the controller.
  • Tms320f28035 control card used, it shipped with the hvm kit.

to be clear, SW1 and SW3 IN contorl card set to off position, SW2 on control card is SET TO  ON position(i referred this setting F2803xcontrolCARD-InfoSheet.pdf). and then from TMDSHVMTRPFCKIT, M6(J3,J4,J5 populated power supply 3.3v,5v,14v) M3(J9 populated,J5 unpopulated (USB connect pc to kit)), DC BUS voltage connected BS5(+) and BS6(-) terminals with DC POWER SUPPLY,

from target configuration Texas Instruments XDS100v1 USB Emulator is selected with TMS320F28035 device.

  • Please check if the controlCard is TMDSCNCD28035 or TMDSCNCD28035ISO? If it's TMDSCNCD28035ISO, please use the onboard emulation of TMDSCNCD28035ISO by M3-J5 populated and Main-J9 unpopulated.

Btw, please ensure the power supply of controlCARD is right first.

Please refer to the application notes "C2000 MCU JTAG Connectivity Debug" to check the JTAG.
