Hi Team,

I tried to download example code using CCS v9.0.0.18 which has proper EMU Pack,

but still I can't download the code.

I got

The JTAG DR Integrity scan-test has succeeded.

message, when I used cJTAG 2pin mode in advanced setting of ccxml file,

still I can't download the code.

I got this on console.

CLA1_0: Error initializing emulator: (Error -2071 @ 0x0) Internal error: Missing or corrupt application file. Restart the application. If error persists, please report the error. (Emulation package 8.1.0.00005)

Can you run the xdsdfu -e command from the C:\ti\ccsv8\ccs_base\common\uscif\xds110\ path(or where ever your ccs is installed) and report back the FW revision?

Thanks, I just re-read your org post and noticed that the error was slightly different than the EMU pack driver; it is kicking out a CLA error.

I have been made aware just yesterday of a bug with CCSv9 only and CLA(Type 2 which is only on F28004x since it is the latest device).

I know the SW team is debugging, but would it be possible to use CCSv8 in the meantime on F28004x?

Any news on this? We are getting the same error.
Due to this, we have to use CCS 8.1 - all newer versions have either an indexer problem or mix up the debugger configurations.

I will check back with the compiler team to understand where things are at in terms of root case/fix.

If you are not using the CLA there is another option to use CCS v9; in the target config ccmxl, if you click on the "advanced tab" you can then click on the CLA core and check "bypass"; this will keep CCS from trying to connect to the CLA when it connects to the main core.

If you are using the CLA, then CCSv8 is the only option I am aware of currently.

I saw the workaround from e2e.ti.com/.../2905271 just after having posted.
Nevertheless, a fix would be highly appreciated.

Just spoke to the CCS team, there should be a release with this issue fixed early next week. As soon as I see it come active/live I will update this thread.
