CCS/DRV8301-HC-C2-KIT: Connection to Control Card

I am trying to connect to my f28035 control card from my PC using CCS v7.2. I am using the drv8301-hc-c2 kit (Instaspin BLDC). Under the "General Setup" tab in CCS, I need to select  my connection and my board and device. The How to Run Guide says that I should select "Texas Instruments XDS100v1 USB Emulator". I do not see this as an option on CCS v7. I have been selecting the XDS100v1 USB Debug Probe, but have been unable to connect to the target. Can I make this connection using v7? If so, what do I need to select in this tab?

    Ben,

    You have selected the correct emulator in CCS with the XDS100v1 USB Debug Probe.

    If you look on page 3 of the HowToRunGuide in control suite(C:\ti\controlSUITE\development_kits\DRV830x-HC-C2-KIT_v105\~Docs)

    page 3 step 3 mentions that you will need 8-60V connected to the DRV board itself to power the MCU on the control card.  This is because the F28035 control CARD shipped with the kit is a Isolated design(indicated by the ISO DIMM silkscreen).  The USB connection on the control CARD only powers the XDS100v1 emulation logic, while the MCU power will come from the DRV board.  

    Please also observe the orientation of the switches that are also on this page, in order to make the JTAG connection.
