CCS/DRV8312-69M-KIT: lab 11e not working Hall sensor start-up with transition to FAST for InstaSPIN-FOC

i am trying to run lab 11e with the kit DRV8312-69M-KIT, it does compile and open the debug window enable the real time debugger , click the run button set gMotorVars.Flag_enableSys and gMotorVars.Flag_Run_Identify to 1 the connection with the microcontroler gets lost and stops working, the kit is working with other labs (lab 2, 4, 4a, 5a, 11) they run with no issues but when trying to run lab 11e the connection gets lost

i am using the default code found in C:\ti\motorware\motorware_1_01_00_18\sw\solutions\instaspin_foc\boards\drv8312kit_revD\f28x\f2806xF\projects\ccs\proj_lab11e with no modification, i am connecting the hall sensors to the J4 with the hall sensor A connected to pin 1, sensor B connected to pin2, sensor C connected to pin 3 and the 5 and gnd connected to the hall sensors, i am using ccs 9.0, i also tried to use the universal gui after building the file but it does not work either,

i set all the motor parameters and offsets for current and voltage.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

So the issue is with the debugger losing connection during this lab? Are you able to run it at all?

That is correct the debugger is losing connection with the microcontroller as soon as i set the enable sys and idenfy flags to 1 (a couple of seconds later) but the motor is never running

Any idea why this could be happening?

For this lab, it is important to ensure that the physical connections of motor and hall sensor wires are done correctly. If the motor or hall wires are connected in the wrong order, the lab will not function properly. It will result in the motor being unable to move and even have overcurrent fault. For the motor, it is important to ensure that the motor phases are connected to the right phase on the controller. You might refer to the lab guide if you are using the motor as recommended in the guide.
