TMS320F28069F: InstaSPIN Projects and Labs User's Guide : Lab10e

Part Number: TMS320F28069F

Hello,

I have a few questions on the InstaSPIN Projects and Labs User's Guide.

I am now reading Lab10e with a hope in mind to apply the flying start function to an ACI motor.

However unfortunately in the last part of Lab10e I have found the statement that Lab10e onlt works with PM motors.

Does this statement imply that the flying start function only applies to PM motors?

Is the flying start function not able to be applied to ACI motors?

Thank you for your guidance.

With regards,

G. Kim

  • That is correct, the flying start function in lab10e only applies to PMSM motors.

  • Dear Sean,

    Thank you for your review.

Would you please inform me why the flying start function in lab10e can not be applied to ACI motors?

What are the problems when the flying start function in lab10e is applied to ACI motors?

I am wondering whether the ACI motors can not have the flying start function in general.

    Thank you for your guidance.

    With regards,

    G. Kim

  • 1. That could be used for ACIM, but we didn't have a test yet.
    2. ACIM can flying start function, but you need to add a small magnetic current (Id) for instaSPIN if you want to implement it.
