LAUNCHXL-F28069M: CAN communication break down

Hi,

I'm using the CAN communication on LAUNCHXL-F28069M and it works perfectly fine, but if I disconnect the wires and break the lines during the transmission, and then try to send again the LAUNCHXL-F28069M board needs to be restarted to send data, otherwise nothing would happen. Has anybody had the same issue before?

Are you referring to disconnecting the bus?

the LAUNCHXL-F28069M board needs to be restarted

What do you mean by "restarted"? Are you referring to power-cycling the board? Or are you referring to re-running the code? Could it be that the node is in bus-off? What kind of recovery does your code employ in a bus-off condition?

Yes, i'm referring to disconnect the bus.

by restarted I mean power cycle the board. I don't know about recovery method in a bus-off condition, btw I'm using Matlab/Simulink.

It is very difficult to debug issues like this remotely. Please examine CCR bit, which will be set if node goes BO. To come out of BO, you can either clear this bit or set the ABO bit during initialization and wait.
