CCS/TMS320F28379D: In launchpad for SCI , How to use sprintf in ccs for conversion of float to char ?

I want to send float values to PC (observed in PuTTY ) from launchpad F28379D using SCI.

I was trying to convert these float value to string using sprintf. But while building project error is coming :

"../2837xD_RAM_lnk_cpu1.cmd", line 53: error #10099-D: program will not fit into available memory. placement with alignment/blocking fails for section ".text" size 0x1cc8 page 0. Available memory ranges:
RAMM0 size: 0x2de unused: 0x0 max hole: 0x0
RAMD0 size: 0x800 unused: 0x0 max hole: 0x0
RAMLS0 size: 0x800 unused: 0x303 max hole: 0x303
RAMLS1 size: 0x800 unused: 0x800 max hole: 0x800
RAMLS2 size: 0x800 unused: 0x800 max hole: 0x800
RAMLS3 size: 0x800 unused: 0x800 max hole: 0x800
RAMLS4 size: 0x800 unused: 0x800 max hole: 0x800
error #10010: errors encountered during linking; "sci_ex3_echoback.out" not built

How to clear this error ?

Or please tell me any other way to send float values to PC.

Hi kailas,

Try combing two or more RAM sections included in .text . For example combine RAMLS0 and RAMLS1 to RAMLS0_LS1 with the total size as addition of both. Similarly you can combine multiple RAM section, the idea is to create a large size hole so that the program will fit in.

Yesterday I tried with adding RAMGS12 for . Text section and memory problem solved.

But i want to send float values using Sprintf to pc through sci, it's not working.
Integers are passed through SCI using sprintf but float values are not getting passed.

What shall I do for it?
