TIEVM-HV-1PH-DCAC: Microgrid control with TIEVM-HV-1PH-DCAC

Part Number: TIEVM-HV-1PH-DCAC

Hi there,

I am planning to use this inverter to implement a centralized control system for a microgrid. As you may know, for this application, the inverter has to be able to receive the references from an external source. Regarding this, I have a couple of questions and I would be very happy if someone could answer them.

1. As far as I understood, the inverter reference values are configurable manually via its software and I am not sure if it can receive them in any other way. So, Is it possible to send the reference values to the VF and PQ controllers from an external source directly to the inverters (with a high band-width communication link needed for the communication-based microgrid control)? If so, how?

2. Apparently, in order to configure the inverter to be working in "grid forming" or "grid following" mode, the corresponding control file has to be uploaded into the control board. So, it seems that both control modes are not available in a single file and consequently it may not be possible to have the inverter switching between the two states instantly. For my application, the inverter has to be capable of switching between grid following and grid forming modes immediately by an external command. So, how is that possible with this inverter?

Thanks!
