TMS320F28378D: TMS320F28378 vs TMS320F28379

Part Number: TMS320F28378D

Hello guys,

What is the main difference between F28378 and F28379? When I use TI website to compare, I see that they are more or less the same except ADC (see below). F28378 suppports only 12 bit adc while F28379 supports 12 bits AND 16 bits. But why is it more expensive than F28379 (for the same package)?

Thanks for answers

Regards,

Hakan

  • you understand the difference correctly.
note that with the 378 versions we aren't offering in the T or Q temps, just S so sometimes makes it hard to compare.

There are some pricing changes making their way through the system and the 378 versions should be slightly lower cost than 379, but I agree currently they are not.
