Compiler/TMDSHVMTRPFCKIT: 100-to-180 Adapter_card PinOut Signification.

Part Number: TMDSHVMTRPFCKIT
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CONTROLSUITE, TMDSCNCD28379D

Tool/software: TI C/C++ Compiler

Dear TI Hello,

I am using the TI code developed by TI on the F28335 for the AC machine control, I want to run  the control motor code on the F28377D DSP (TMDSCNCD28377D) and I am working on the migration process,

I am using the 100-to-180 Adapter Card to be able to use TMDSHVMTRPFCKIT kit to test the final code (after migration) ,

My question is about the pinOut Adapte_Card diagram,

Could you please explain to me for what ADC-COMP-WT-B_(-), ADC-COMP-PCMC-B1, ... etc stand for,

In the Pinout figures bellow I notice a difference between then F28377D 180pin and the the 100 to 180 adapter ? could you explain to me why there is a difference while the same connector is used (180)?

Thank you in advance,

S.Tarik,

  • Hi,

    I'm sorry for the confusion.  The controlCARD standard was not fixed at the time that the 180-to-100pin adapter card was created.  As such, many of the labels in the schematic can be misleading.  I will submit a request to have this improved.

    The 180cCARD_pinout map can be trusted though.  Note that the colorful columns showing peripheral functionality is not a comprehensive list - these are just the peripherals that we try to enable from HSEC-based controlCARD to HSEC-based controlCARD.

    For what you are doing, I would recommend utilizing the 100DIMmap pdf within the controlCARD directory.  This should give you a more direct map between the C2000 device and the High-voltage Motor Control board.
    (ie for controlSUITE: \controlSUITE\development_kits\~controlCARDs\TMDSCNCD28379D_v1_0\R1_3\)

    Hopefully this helps!

    Thank you,
    Brett
