CCS/TMS320F28335: UNLOCKING TMS320F28335

Part Number: TMS320F28335

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi,

I have trouble with loading the code into my TMS320F28335, this has happened after suddenly my power supply was OFF and ON while I am flashing the code into the DSP, Before it is working fine. Can anyone let me know how can I unlock the DSP?

Thanks in advance looking for your reply,

With regard,

Sivakrishna

  • Siva,
If the power failed in the middle of programming, it is likely that the password locations were corrupted. If this is indeed the case, there is no way to recover the device, unfortunately. If your code had passwords, you could try unlocking the device using those passwords. Note that the ECSL logic may prevent CCS from connecting it to the device. In this case, please try a different boot mode and connect to the device. This has been discussed many time on the forum, so please search e2e for details.
  • Hi Hareesh,

Thanks for your reply, I am not using passwords in my code, Still is there any possible way to erase the password locations or unlocking the device and is it possible to run the code from RAM.

    Thanks in advance,
    With regards,
    Sivakrishna
  • It is likely the password locations got corrupted due to the power failure. Erasure of password locations is not possible in this situation. Unfortunately, there is no way to recover the device.
