TMS320F28335: Not able to debug uC because of missing XINTF Zone 6 Initialization code

Hello,

I posted a question not too long ago. Please see https://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/c2000/f/171/t/797352.

I was able to solve the issue by adding missing XINTF Zone 6 initialization to the code. As a result of the missing XINTF Zone 6 initialization, the debugger was not be able to connect to the uC and the uC was acting strangely.

Two questions:

1. What causes this issue.

2. Why would this issue occur only some of the boards?

Hi Steven,

If you are not configuring the XINTF properly and do an XINTF access then it may not return the ready which will cause debugger not to work. I am not sure why this issue was only on some of the board though. We would like to see the external access waveform captured on such board if you can do that.

Ok. Getting those signals would take a lot of work. Maybe the ready pin was pulled high/low on the first board.

I will just leave it for now and maybe come back to it later.
