TMS320F28377S: EMIF CS0 supports asynchronous device?

Hi,

There's a request on EMIF 1 on F2837x. 4 asynchronous devices are needed. 

3 asynchronous devices are already connected to EMIF 1 by CS2/CS3/CS4. Another one is needed in the system. All of them are ADC. They don't want to use one CS2 to connect two devices by different address, as too much changes from the HW. 

Can CS0 support it?

    Hi Jordan,

    CS0 can be used for SDRAM only and not ASYNC RAM. You have to use external logic to decode address and connect two device on one chip select or use EMIF2, assuming customers are using only 16bit interface.
