TMS320F280049: how to use ADC channel 16~21?

Part Number: TMS320F280049

hi All,

I need use more ADC pin in TMS320F280049.

The ADCIN module on has ADCIN0~15, how can I put others ADC pin ( 16~21 ) to ADCIN module?

  • Hi Yung-Cheng,

There are 3 ADC modules on the device, each with a 16 position input mux.  Each ADC has a subset of inputs that are available on the input pins, as well as some inputs that are internal connections only (e.g. output of a temperature sensor), and some inputs which are unused.

To see which channels are available on a particular package, refer to Table 5-39. Analog Pins and Internal Connections.

  • the adc pin has 21, but ADCSOC only 16, it's not enough, how to make one adc pin for one ADCSOC?
  • Hi Yung-Cheng,

In total, the device has 21 ADC input pins spread between 3 ADC modules.

Each ADC module has a 16-way input mux:

So in total, there are 16 x 3 = 48 total ADC input pins (which only connect to 21 unique device pins).

The table "Analog Pins and Internal Connections" shows which pins are connected to which ADC mux positions.

e.g. ***100-pin package pin 10 is connected to mux position 3 on ADC-A.

e.g. ***100-pin package pin 9 is connected to mux position 2 on ADC-A and also connected to mux position 6 on ADC-B.

e.g. ***100-pin package pin 19 is connected to mux position 0 on ADC-C.

  • got it , thanks for your reply.
