TMS320F28379D: uPP MSG RAM in F28379D

Part Number: TMS320F28379D

Hi team,

In the manual, I noticed the following discription:

I am confused with the definition of CPU/CLA Address and uPP DMA Address.  What is the difference between this 2 address?

Thanks,

Brian

  • Brian,

uPP has it's own DMA interface (not system DMA) to access these message RAM. The address difference is due to 16bit vs byte addressing. CPU(C28x)/CLA have 16bit addressing where as uPP DMA has byte addressing.

    Hope this is clear.
