CCS/TMS320F28377D: Reprogram Z1-BOOTCTRL (for use Z2-BOOTCTRL)

Hello,

I have a promblem to reflash Z1-BOOTCTRL. The pin of DSP is probably dead. So I want to use another boot pin with the Z2-BOOTCTRL but I can't reprogram the Z1-BOOTCTRL to set EMU_KEY to 0x00. But it is impossible to reprogram Z1, Z2-BOOTCTRL has been programmed.

How do I get past this security issue?

My error :

C28xx_CPU1: Error during Flash programming (Flash algorithm returned error code). Operation cancelled.
C28xx_CPU1: Please make sure the memory location you are programming have not already been programmed.
C28xx_CPU1: Error encountered during security operation. Operation Cancelled.

Hi Paul,

Z1-BOOTCTRL is OTP (one time programmable) location hence if you have programmed it once, it can not be programmed again. Why do you think DSP PIN is dead?

I We think the DSP pin is dead because it's like the microcontroller doesn't boot, whereas it used to work. And it is possible to start the program with the JTAG probe. The boot PIN 1 (PIN 84) is output on a jumper it is possible that there is a short circuit or electrostatic discharge that is corrupted the input of the DSP.

The problem is not solved but I have the answer to my question you had to program Z2BOOTCTRL first to be able to use Z1 in case of problem!
