TMS320F28379S: advice about 20kW VIENNA RECTIFIER or 3 PHASE PFC development!!

Part Number: TMS320F28379S
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDM-1000

Dear TI

I work with APRO(http://www.aproele.com/). APRO is famous company by Battery charger/discharger tester product in South Korea.

I do to develop 24kW 3 phase Vienna rectifier or 3 phase pfc.

-Simple Spec AC380 3ph, Vdclink 650Vmax, Pout 24kW(20kW normal output, peak power 120%)

-We use Most TI parts. and SIC Fets, Diodes.

I know there is 1~2kW Vienna rectifier application reference in TI(http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/tiducj0d/tiducj0d.pdf)

I would like to receive technical advice about extended(~24kW) reference system from Korea.

I can confirm that this is a requirement for mass products(battery charger station for ev motorcycle) .

If you can support it, I can connect with a company that works with us and a ti engineer.

We need technical consultant of professional engineer for actual development.

I look forward to hearing from TI.

Best regards.

  • Hi Choi,

Thanks for your interest on TI C2000. There are definitely a lot of challenges for designing a 24kW system compared with the reference design which is just to show the device advantage of controlling vienna PFC. Other than the reference design documents, we also have a training video as below:
    https://training.ti.com/ (search for TIDM-1000)

It is hard for me to summarize all the techinical suggestion since it is a big question. But the TIDM-1000 user guide has covered a lot of technical challenges. For example, the control loop and the hardware have to be redesigned, but it follows the same rule which is documented in the user guide. Feel free to ask any detailed questions in e2e and our experts will help you ASAP.

    Regards,
    Chen
