TMS320F28069M: Magnetic Weakening Control of PMSM

Genius 3095 points

Part Number: TMS320F28069M

Hi team:

We use F28069m for motor control. The motor works normally when use lab06a (Rated speed, rated torque conditions).

But when we use lab09 for field weakening control and configure:

gMotorVars.Flag_enableSys = true

The motor began to shake and couldn't spin. The parameters of motor is copied from lab06a directly when using weak magnetic field control.
What's the matter, please? In principle, after the routine works properly on lab06a, should it work properly on lab09? The operation steps are exactly as per the manual.

Best regards

  • You should move the control from lab05a/lab05b to lab09, lab06a is using SpinTAC (InstaSPIN-motion) as speed controller, but lab09 enabled instaSPIN is using a generic PI controller.
    1. Did you run lab02b/lab02c to identify the motor parameters? And set these values in user.h for lab09?
    2. What gMotorVars.VsRef did you set? Recommend (0.8~0.9) * USER_MAX_VS_MAG_PU.
    3. Tune FW_INC_DELTA and FW_DEC_DELTA in fw.h
  • Just wanted to check in and see if there is any update from your side, I haven’t heard from you for two weeks, so I’m assuming you were able to resolve your issue. Please let me know if you have any questions. We would like to close this thread if no any further questions. Thanks.
