TMDSCNCD28346-168: TMDSCNCD28346

TI previously sold the TMDSDOCK28346-168, which contained both the C28346 controlCARD & the DIM168 Docking Station that it would mate with. 

We no longer sell/produce that kit.  Additionally, the DIM168 Docking Station is no longer produced or contained in any of TI's current kits.  However, its design files can be found in the following directory - if you/others would like to produce your own:
\controlSUITE\development_kits\~ExperimentersKits\DIM168ExperimentersKit-HWdevPkg_v2_0\R2\

As you've noticed, the TMDSCNCD28346-168 kit is available, but is Not Recommended for New Development.  We did this primarily to ensure some continuity of availability for those who had already began evaluation/research on this controlCARD several years ago & had built up their own baseboards.

From an MCU perspective, the C2834x family continues to be produced, marketed and sold.  For getting started with that chip family, we would instead recommend the TMDSDOCK28343 evaluation kit. 

• Note that there are newer MCUs in the C2000 product line which have additional features & it may be worth investigating those (such as the TMS320F28379D or TMS320F28379S). However, the C2834x family does have a niche and could be right for your particular system.
