TMS320F28377S: SPI Slave mode: SPISTE mandatory?

Hello

I start to design a board for Endat2.2 interface feedback.

I will us the same as presented into PM_Endat22_lib-SPRUI35.pdf

On chapter §1.5, a scheme indicat to set always the SPISTE to the Ground. BEcause into this schem, no need ChipSelect. Always activate it.

If I want get a GPIO for general purpose, Can I do not configre the GPIO27 as SPI? If no pin configured to the SPISTE function, isSLAVE SPI hardware will run correctly? (Is without any GPIO configured into SPISTE, the SPI slave module will consider the SPISTE always active?)

Hi,

Chip select needs to be driven low (it's an active low signal).
In this case, a low state needs to be driven on the pin for the slave mode to receive the data.

There is noway to 'simulate' by internal a chip select low? Or Say to the SPI slave controller to not use the chip select input ans Always considere likes a virtual chip select to low ?

Hi,

These no other way to drive the chip select (SPISTE) signal - it has to be controlled by an IO.
