CCS/TMS320F28027: TMDSHVRESLLCKIT issue

Part Number: TMS320F28027

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi Good morning!

I have a problem with the TMDSHVRESLLCKIT can anyone help me please thankyou

I use the TMDSHVRESLLCKIT for experiment follow by hardware & software reference guide
first, I run in demo mode with the GUI control software, and the experiment kit works normal,

then i run in experimentation mode with the CCS 6.0.1

in Build2
I change the INCR_BUILD 2 in HVLLC-Settings.h then rebuild the project and debug
The output voltage does not respond with the "Gui_Vset" setting
The frequency is fixed so the output voltage is always changing follow by input voltage and output loads,
there is no output voltage regulations

output voltage was 12.06V when input voltage just in 390Vdc and no load condition
It cant change the frequency except i manual change the period setting in watch window
Then I check The "Gui_Vout" it seems look like floating because its value shows between 6000~6500 despite the output voltage still have 12V

The hardware setting :
1. J1 J2 remove
2. J3 J4 J5 J6 M4J4 J7(pins 1-2) J8(pins 1-2) short
3. 12V AUX DC connect

Can anyone tell me what's wrong with my setting?

Many thanks

  • Hi Jerry,

I assume you have finished Build 1 successfully and are evaluating build 2. Did you follow the instruction in page 17 as below?
    1. Run the code by pressing the Run Button in the Debug Tab.
    2. Enable the PWMs by setting “LLC_Enable” and “SR_Enable” to 1.
    3. Set the load to a minimum of 1 A.
    4. Ramp the primary power supply up to 390 VDC.
    5. Set “Gui_Vset” to 12 VDC. “Period” should change automatically and “Gui_Vout” should change to 12
    VDC to match “Gui_Vset”.
    6. Experiment with changing the load. Notice that “Period” (1/frequency) increases with the increasing
load and decreases with the decreasing load.

  • Hi Jerry,

Just want to follow up and see if this problem has been solved. Thanks.
