TMS320F28335: clock cycles to access external ram fo tms320f28335

Part Number: TMS320F28335

hello,

i am reading the xint document of tsm320f28335 to get the information regarding the number of clock cycles that are necessary for write/read access to an external ram that is connected to my tms320f28335 but it's hard to read the values in the tables in section 4.

can anyone tell me how many clock cycles do i need to access the external ram when the tms320f28335 is set to 150mhz or 120mhz?

thanks in advance

best regards

  • Marcello,

The access times are user configurable so there is no single answer to your question.  The waveforms in Section 8 of the XINTF document (and in Section 5.9.6 of the datasheet) may be easier to follow.

At best, the XINTF can support a transaction in 2 XTIMCLK cycles, but this is not a likely scenario because external memories usually require additional delays to respond to access requests.
