I am referring c2000 ware in that there is "watchdog_ex1_service " example i was following .

But there is no function for watchdog initialization . It directly sets the watchdog to generate an interrupt signal.

i have some couple of questions:

How to initialize watchdog ?

Is it possible to change watchdog counter Value ?

Why 55 and AA bits are used to reset watchdog counter ? (I mean is there any reason for it )

The Watchdog module has just 5 registers. With the block diagram and the register description, it should be fairly straightforward to understand the module. Please let us know which part of the module description in the TRM is not clear. You may also want to look at the workshop material at

Specifically, look at pages 93-97 of the "Workshop Guide and Lab Manual"

Is it possible to change watchdog counter Value ?

No.

Why 55 and AA bits are used to reset watchdog counter ?

This is an alternating pattern of ones and zeroes, commonly used in digital electronics. This value is chosen to minimize the probability that some anomaly could assume a value of alternating ones and zeroes. It is also easy to remember.

You can also refer the watchdog example (device_support\f2837xd\examples\cpu1\watchdog) in C2000Ware for this.
