Dear TI Community Greeting!!

I want to know how to change the V-I Characteristics of PV Emulator in Solar Explorer Kit. When I will be able to change it, I will be able to have to achieve different  Maximum Power Point.

Waiting for your kind response.

  • The PV emulator on the solar explorer board was just to demo the control implemented and a basic validation of that. We did not spend enough time making it adaptable for all conditions and configurations.

The code for the PV emulator is here

there is a small doc as well

    C:\ti\controlSUITE\development_kits\SolarExplorer_v1.1\SolarExplorer_PVEmulator_F2802x

that's all the information we have.

  • Dear Manish Bhardwaj
Extremely thankful for your kind response.

I had updated the PV_Table1 with very little changes. Now, I want to run the Build 2 i.e. "SolarExplorer_PVInverter_F2803x" with the updated table. Are there any other steps in this regard to have working of Build 2 for this new table?

    Waiting for your kind response.

  • The code for the PV table needs to be burned on the F2802x device that is on the board, it had a usb connector on the board for this. Make sure you flash the correct device.

Next you can run Build 2, but as this is "not tested" "not advertised" mode of the kit, any issues that you run into will not be something i can help with, as we cannot develop customer systems and tests.

  • Dear Manish Bhardwaj
Extremely thankful fro your kind response.

Can you please provide me any tutorial relating to burning the F2802x.

  • here is what we have

Flashing the Panel EMU Image on F28027, M5 Macro (during this step do not connect the other JTAG link only the one in M5 to the host machine, otherwise you may no know which one is which and it can result in error)

Now with the board powered ON and the USB connected from M5-JP1 to the host open CCS.

Use the F28027 xds100v1 target configuration file and connect to the target.

Once connected, load the out file from the project.

Terminate the CCS session, Now disconnect the USB from the [M5]-JP1 {USB-mini to A} and power off the board ([M6]-SW2 in off position).
