Hi dear community,

I want to try SCI serial flash programmer using an example code with tms320f28379D. I read the using procedure of serial falsh programmer. But I couldn't a phase which is "CONNECT A SERIAL PORT FROM THE PC TO THE CORRECT GPIO PINS"

What does this phase mean,exactly ?

Hi Hakan,

Please let me know if you are using a control card or launch pad of TMS320F28379D.

In case of launch pad you have to use GPIO84 and 85 for SCI-A

In case of control card you have to use GPIO28 and 29 for SCI-A

These pins are connected through the FTDI chip to the USB mini connector. So if you are using SCI-A for communication, the connection is already taken care.

I am using control card of TMS320F28379D.

Must I configure these pins in sci_flash_kernel code, right ?

Hope you have referred the application note

The pins are already configured in the boot.

Hi again Katta,

I tried the sci flash kernel example with blink example. I used the hex files which are in flash_kernel example folder. But the program stucks on 'attempting autobaud' level. I couldn't solve the problem ? Do you have any suggestion about this?

Hi,

There were some fixes made in the new release C2000Ware v2.00.00.02

You might have used the existing F2837xD_sci_flash_kernels_cpu01.txt in the C2000Ware_X_XX_XX_XX\utilities\flash_programmers\serial_flash_programmer\f2837xD_fw_upgrade_example

Could you please create a new text file by building the project at

\C2000Ware_2_00_00_02\device_support\f2837xd\examples\dual\F2837xD_sci_flash_kernels\cpu01

Also please create the application file blinky_dc_cpu01.txt again.

As part of the new change, you need to use 128-bit alignment in application linker command file i.e. use ALIGN(8) instead of ALIGN(4).

Please let me know if you see any other issue.
