I would like to know, why the hole "GUI_project_InstaSPIN_BLDC" is working with PU quantities.

All motor control projects in controlSUITE are working with PU format, the calculations are simplified because quantities expressed as per-unit do not change when these values are referred from one side of a transformer to the others, especially on the fixed-point controllers.

You may have a look at some papers about the Per-Unit as the following links that should help you to understand why to use the PU for motor control on a fixed point controller, the PU system will help to simplify the calculation and transform in a project.
