Hello,

There is a way to configure clocks for previous family device F28379D specified within SYS/BIOS module 'ti.catalog.c2800.initF2837x.Boot'. The following can be configured when OS core starts: Input clock and clock source, dividers, multipliers, etc.

Is there similar SYS/BIOS module for TMS320F28388D device ? The module 'ti.sysbios.family.c28.f2838x.init.Boot' is quite different. If there is no straight forward solution, then should I start on default Clock settings and initialize PLL within my app ?

What version of SYS/BIOS are you using?

I found that the SYS/BIOS 6.76.01.12 documentation includes the following: var Boot = xdc.useModule('ti.catalog.c2800.init.Boot');

Boot.type = Boot.Type_282xx_283xx;

I also see additional settings in: var Boot = xdc.useModule('ti.sysbios.family.arm.f2838x.init.Boot');

I am using latest available SYS/BIOS 6.76.01.12.

I have seen the module you referred to (var Boot = xdc.useModule('ti.catalog.c2800.init.Boot');) , but I was not able to map the objects specified within that module to the fields that configure PLL for F23388D device.

For instance : device F28379D : module "ti.catalog.c2800.initF2837x.Boot" specifies the objects:

obj.OSCCLK = UInt ...

obj.SPLLIMULT = UInt ...

obj.SPLLFMULT = String ...

obj.SYSCLKDIVSEL = UInt ...

and last 3 are required to obtain desirable clock from the input clock. For instance, input clock is 20Mhz, IMULT = 18, FMULT = 0, CLKDIVSEL = 2, then the resulting SYSCLK is : 20*(18.0 + 0.0)/2 = 180MHz and it can be configured when SYS/BIOS starts.

Neither module (var Boot = xdc.useModule('ti.catalog.c2800.init.Boot'); nor module var Boot = xdc.useModule('ti.sysbios.family.arm.f2838x.init.Boot'); comprise the following objects required to configure PLL for TMS320F28388D:

For register SYSPLLMULT : fields REFDIV, ODIV, IMULT

For resister SYSCLKDIVSEL : field PLLSYSCLKDIV

It appears that I pointed you to the wrong place. You want to use ti.sysbios.family.c28.f2838x.init.Boot now.

Are you unable to use ti.sysbios.family.c28.f2838x.init.Boot?

There you can use:
