TMS320F28377S: when communication with LAN9252 by EMIF, sometimes data error happens

Hi,

One of my customer use our F28377S with LAN9252, and connect GPIO34 directly with CS.

But here is 1 platform(out of 30 platforms) has communication issue. the data transmission is wrong. after customer disconnected CS between these two ICs and pull up LAN9252's CS pin, the issue is solved.

what's the reason? is it due to the driving ability of GPIO34? what should customer do to fix it?

Hi Yuan,

With given information, it is difficult to tell what is wrong. Since it's working on all the platform but 1, I would suspect some issue with board. If you have some waveform capture from non-working platform, please share the same.

what kind of waveform we need? I will get these waveforms and feedback to you later?

And for GPIO34, is it a default push-pull or open-drain? and what's the driving ability? I cannot find the description in datasheet.

Yuan,

A scope capture of control signals like CS, WE/OE and one toggle bit of address and data.

All the GPIO lines are tri-state by default. User need to configure the pull-up enable or OD.
