CCS/TMS320F28379D: CANB communication problem

Part Number: TMS320F28379D
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320F28377D

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi all community,

I tried to communicate with CANA peripheral on TMS320F28377D. And I send the message and receive it back at the same time succesfully .

I try to same thing with CANB peripheral. I did it seperately. But it doesn't work at the same time. I cannot transmit and receive any message at the same time.

What can be problem ?

Regards.

  • Hi Furkan,

There is not a lot of information to start with from the initial input you have provided, but a couple of general items to check:

           - Ensure that the GPIO mapping used for CANB has changed (CANA and CANB have different RX/TX mapping)

           - Check that the peripheral clock for CANB is on.  You can check register CpuSysRegs.PCLKCR10 if CAN_B is set or not.

           - Check the value of the status register CanbRegs.CAN_ES.  This can help you narrow down what could be wrong.

    Regards,

    Joseph

  • Hi Furkan,
