TMS320F280049: Arbitration when configuring GLDCTL[GLDMODE] register for different EPWM modules

Part Number: TMS320F280049

Hi expert,

I'd like to know if I global load CMP register of multiple EPWM modules but configure GLDCTL[GLDMODE] to select different load event for different modules, what will happen?

Could you give me more details or develop advice on this?

Thanks

Sheldon

  • Hi,

I think it should work fine as global load is used for loading the multiple selected configurations for an ePWM instance at a time. It is the link registers which needs to be configured for simultaneous writes across modules.

The scenario mentioned above should work fine even with both global load and link configured as the configured value would be loaded at the selected load event for each ePWM instance. Although with link configured, it would make sense to have same load event as well.

I will further check this and get back.

    Thanks
